Red Wings goalie has impressive mask

Detroit Red Wings goalies have been sporting some good-looking masks lately.

First, it was Tom McCollum's mask, which features a caricature of the late Chris Farley on the back.

Now, current callup Petr Mrazek's mask has Peter Griffin, the lead character in the animated series Family Guy.

The caricature seems to be a mix between Mrazek's first name (Petr) and the mascot for the Grand Rapids Griffins, where Mrazek has played 25 games in his first season in the American Hockey League.

Mrazek made 26 saves to beat the St. Louis Blues in his NHL debut but will be back on the bench Saturday afternoon against the Edmonton Oilers, now that No. 1 goalie Jimmy Howard had a chance to rest for a game.
