Notre Dame fan drains $18K half-courter on GameDay, fans storm (VIDEO)
LeBron James wasn't there to tackle him, but the whole Notre Dame men's basketball team was.
There also was a nice fat $18,000 check waiting for this one lucky (no pun intended) Irish student Saturday.
Casey Murdock, wearing a green headband, cashed in on his second attempt at a half-court shot on ESPN's College GameDay to win $18,000.
Thanks to our friends at Big Lead Sports on the video assist.
Earlier this year, Butler student Kevin Schwartz drilled a half-court shot on his first attempt to win $18,000, which ended an 0-for-32 drought for students on the GameDay stage.
You'd think ESPN would learn its lesson after the first semi-athletic-looking fan made the first half-courter.
There are so many things amazing about replaying this video, but the best:
1. Rece Davis goes bonkers. Dude looks like he's been waiting to storm the court his whole life.
2. This genius in a bunny costume. The bunny ears is a great I'm-that-crazy-fan-who-is-trying-to-get-on-TV kind of outfit.
Here's a GIF of our favorite fan:
