Dwight Howard is pretty bad from the charity stripe, but he's not a lost cause.
Howard has made 232 of 480 attempts from the line this season. He is shooting an abysmal 48.3% from the charity stripe, the lowest mark among players measured on NBA.com. Yikes.
Despite his struggles during games, Howard has a way of turning it on when no one's watching. According to a photo from Beto Duran of ESPN Radio in Los Angeles, Dwight is shooting 82% from the free throw line during Lakers practices.
A few things stand out:
- Steve Nash is a machine. The guy has missed 43 free throws this season ... total.
- The Lakers are ranked 29th out of 30 teams in free-throw shooting.
- Although Dwight's 82% is pretty good, it's still the lowest mark on the team. But hey, there's hope.
