With the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-6) win over the Carolina Panthers (3-9) on Sunday, they made one of the biggest impact of any team this week on their playoff hopes.
The Buccaneers entered Week 13 with a 46% chance of making the playoffs, according to Next Gen Stats as of 9 a.m. ET Sunday. When they defeated the Panthers, who still have a 1% chance of a playoff berth, the Buccaneers' chances rose to 59%.
Even with those chances, Tampa Bay would just miss the playoffs as the NFC South winner because the Atlanta Falcons (6-6) have defeated the Buccaneers twice. The Buccaneers' wild-card options might be more challenging: The Washington Commanders have the worst wildcard record at 8-5.
