"Out West, the storm track through Christmas Eve favors California, the Pacific Northwest, British Columbia, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, and Utah for the highest probability of snow. It particularly favors ski resorts in the Pacific Northwest and Interior British Columbia, where some resorts could see multiple feet of snow over the next week," said Tomer.

"In the Northeast, a larger storm system with heavy snow accumulation is possible Dec. 20 - Dec. 21. Some New England ski resorts could see 1 to 2 feet of snowfall during this period," said Tomer.
