Here's where the largest snowfall will happen this week at ski resorts

This weekly update provides the total estimated snowfall at popular ski destinations in the West and Northeast. OnTheSnow Meteorologist Chris Tomer, author of the Snow Before You Go column will keep you in the know for fresh powder days.

Snowfall predictions in the West

"A consistent west-northwest flow continues out West with two additional storm systems for Wyoming, Utah and Colorado through Jan. 12 that brings light to moderate snow," said Tomer.

Snowfall predictions in the Northeast

"In the Northeast, a larger storm system is possible Jan. 11 through Jan. 12, in addition to light snow accumulation Jan. 7 through Jan. 8. Some East Coast ski resorts could see over a foot of snow during this period," said Tomer.
