These authors love things in 3's, especially Highlanders

Today's featured authors are co-authors of the Three Timeless Loves boxed set (at a limited-time intro price), which includes three full-length Scottish time-travel romance novels: Terri Brisbin, author of A Love Through Time; Eliza Knight, author of Behind the Plaid; and Claire Delacroix/Deborah Cooke, author of The Last Highlander.

Terri Brisbin, author of A Love Through Time in the boxed set

Three of my best holiday gifts:

Actually, my three best gifts were when I was able to surprise my kids on Christmas! I do believe that Christmas lies — ones told in trying to surprise someone for Christmas — get special dispensation, and I've used them well and often in my life!

• Once, I planned a whole Disney trip for us for Christmas week without them knowing.

• With my oldest son, I was able to secure a Cabbage Patch kid — Malvin Errol arrived via Santa to a surprised son!

• And one of my favorites was when I was able to get the elusive, exclusive Wii for my youngest son and surprise him with it under the tree — when he thought he would get it long after the holiday.

Here's the blurb for A Love Through Time:

In bestselling author Terri Brisbin's A Love Through Time, Alex MacKendimen and Maggie Hobbs visit a Highland faire and find themselves thrown back into Scotland's past. As the two work together to find a way to survive and make it back home, neither one knew that falling in love was part of Fate's plan for them!

Eliza Knight, author of Behind the Plaid

My three favorite holiday traditions:

We have one newish tradition in our house: When Elf on the Shelf first came out, I boycotted. BUT… now I love him. We got a naughty little elf named Sebastian, and he does things the kids think are funny — but I made him even funnier for me and the Hubs (usually because of the double entendre) — like riding my exercise ball down the stairs, hugging a wooden statue of us both, sitting on my frog statue's lap to read a book and hanging from the door handle in desperate need of getting out of the house.

A tradition I passed down to my kids: On Christmas Eve, we all open a new pair of comfy pajamas and then read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas (actually, MY dad calls and reads it on speaker phone).

Another tradition we passed down, which helps us to wake up at the crack of dawn: The kids can go downstairs and get the stockings and then bring them upstairs to our room where we all open them. Then it's coffee time …

Here's the blurb for Behind the Plaid:

In the first installment of bestselling author Eliza Knight's Highland Bound Trilogy, Emma Gordan falls headlong through time and into the arms of one dangerous and sensual Highlander. Together they embark on a daring, passionate affair where secrets are uncovered, souls bared and spirits transformed. (Note: This book contains erotic themes.)

Claire Delacroix/Deborah Cooke, author of The Last Highlander

My three favorite holidays:

First fave is the Winter Solstice. The shortest day of the year has been considered cause for celebration for millennia in the Northern Hemisphere. It's the darkest day of the year, but the next day will be brighter. There are many Viking and pagan festivities to celebrate this return of the sun, and we partake of a few of them here. My husband likes to burn an outdoor lantern on the night of the solstice. We usually salute the sun with a glass of champagne. I also find it a time for reflection on the year just past, and for making plans for the year ahead.

Second fave is Christmas. Many pagan traditions for the solstice have been incorporated into Christmas celebrations — like bringing greens into the house and celebrating with a feast. I love the decorations and the music, as well as the gathering of friends and family that happens on this day. It's a time of good cheer.

Third for me would be the Spring Equinox. Day and night are of the same length on this day, which we celebrate as the first day of spring. It's time to get out into the garden (even though we usually still have snow) and decide upon what's going to be moved, changed or planted. If I'm very lucky, the snowdrops will be in bloom, a sign that summer is on its way.

Here's the blurb for The Last Highlander:

In Paste BN and NYT bestselling author Claire Delacroix's The Last Highlander, Morgan LaFayette's every fantasy comes true on her Scottish vacation when a medieval highlander insists she's his destined love, and that he's traveled through time to win her heart forever.
