Throwback Thursday: 'Dead End Dating' and 'Beauty Dates the Beast'
In the era of online dating, dating services and speed dating, it's become easier than ever to find a mate … This includes those of the fanged, furred or … odd variety as well. Below are two awesome books featuring paranormal dating services.
Dead End Dating by Kimberly Raye
Kimberly Raye caught my eye and my heart (laughter is the way to my heart, people … oh, and hot boys!) with her Dead End Dating series. Our heroine, Lil Marchette, is an odd vampire. She prefers pink, always accessorizes and is a hopeless romantic. She starts the Dead End Dating (DED) service to help people like her find their true mates. She ends up falling for a turned vampire and bounty hunter, Ty Bonner, who is so delicious. The series follows Lil and some truly humorous and sizzling ups and downs. If you like to laugh and love hot bounty hunters, oh, and, of course, matchmakers of all species, pick this series up.
The series:
Dead End Dating
Dead and Dateless
Your Coffin or Mine?
Just One Bite
Sucker for Love
Here Comes the Vampire
Beauty Dates the Beast by Jessica Sims
This series follows the Midnight Liaisons clients (and workers). ML is a high-class dating service for all paranormals, and Bathsheba and her sister Sara work there, happily pairing clients and making sure everything goes just right. When a mess/mix-up in the system calls for Bathsheba to go on a date (to save face, of course), she ends up falling for the very hot, very … athletic werecougar. While there were some holes in the first book, each installment gets better and more humorous. There's steam, flirting and general panicking of the fun variety. I'd pick this up when you're in the mood for a laugh and a sigh.
The series:
Beauty Dates the Beast
Desperately Seeking Shapeshifter
Must Love Fangs
Wanted: Wild Thing
