Brynna Curry: Let's all get a little bit Irish

Brynna: Happy St. Patrick's Day! Are you wearing your green? Next to Halloween, today is one of my favorite holidays. I think everyone is a little bit Irish today. I admit I'm fascinated by the culture, the music and determination of my ancestors. Of course, there is also the lore of fairies, and magic undoubtedly draws me in every time.

The maternal ancestors have their roots in Ireland. During the famine, my Great-Great-Grandfather Mote immigrated to Alabama, where the land was rich for farming, and married a Cherokee woman, who was reputed to have premonitions. Family lore tells that Mary (the Christian name given to her by her husband, her Cherokee name has been lost to time) lost her husband before her 40s, yet she never married another. It must have been very hard for her to raise her children alone. Her youngest became a teacher, truly a feat for a poor family during that time.

Arthur married a nice Irish lass, Mary Catherine Curry, whose maiden name I borrowed for my pen name. From them I have a priceless treasure of rich history that inspires my love for a land I've never seen and the characters I write about.

Thank you for inviting me to visit with you today and tripping back to the past for a bit. To learn more about Elemental Magic and my Corrigan clan, I hope you'll visit me at www.brynnacurry.com.

Here's the blurb about Claiming Ana (Triple Star Ranch #1):

Where there's smoke, there's fire…and passion that won't be denied.

The child of a gypsy and fey, small-town veterinarian Dr. Anastasia Brannon has always hidden her magic for fear of ridicule. A red-hot encounter with the new PI in town makes their attraction impossible to deny. Throwing caution to the wind, she indulges her desires but keeps her secrets close.

A man with a shady past and secrets of his own, Howl Raven uses his feral talents and tracking skills to make a living, doing his best to lay low and hide the curse that haunts him every month. So far, so good…until an uncontrollable shift outside the full moon leaves him the victim of a werewolf hunter.

When she finds the enigmatic investigator wounded in the woods near her cabin during a storm, Ana provides medical care on instinct. She may be the only one who can banish the wolf from Howl's blood, but at what cost?
