Mulder & Scully with a scoop of ice cream in NYC — a perfect day

Today's featured authors: Lucy Woodhull, author of The Wrath of Dimple; Cheyenne Meadows, author of Tiger's Lily; and Elizabeth M. Darcy, author of Her Norman Conquest. We're talking favorite TV couples, desserts and vacation destinations.

Lucy Woodhull, author of The Wrath of Dimple

Three of my favorite TV couples:

• First: Lucy and Ricky, I Love Lucy. She's my namesake! They were so funny, and so groundbreaking in real life; they basically invented the sitcom, which is something this humor author is grateful for. Lucy and her man were also the first interracial couple on television, hell yeah!

Mulder and Scully, The X-Files. Well, maybe Mulder and aliens. Nah — Scully is the skeptical queen of my heart as well as Fox Mulder's. And how could anyone not fall for David Duchovny, amIright? I geeked out to this show hard when it was on, but it was the love story that kept me coming back.

• And last but not least by a mile are Patsy and Edina, Absolutely Fabulous. These crazy, drunken BFFs are as much a pair as any married couple, but only best friends will always swear that you look smashing in Lacroix. They're fabulous, sweetie dahling!

My latest book, The Wrath of Dimple, is the third in my Dimple rom-com series.

Here's the blurb:

Unforgettable. That's what she's not.

Life is perfect for Samantha Lytton, big-screen superheroine. Her acting career flourishes, the bad guys from her past are in prison, and she's married her true love, be-dimpled ex-thief Sam. Everything is so rosy and idyllic, it's like a freaking princess movie. Well, an R-rated one. Nothing could mar Sam and Samantha's fairy-tale romance!

Except the moment in the emergency room when Sam, his head cracked open, turns to his beloved wife and asks, "Who the hell are you?"

He's suffering from … Samnesia! (At least he still laughs at Samantha's stupid puns.) How on earth did that happen? If Samantha is going to live her very own soap opera, she'd choose an evil twin over amnesia any day.

With no idea who has attacked Sam or why, Samantha is left in the depths of despair with a hunk who doesn't remember her, a creepy film director who's getting more threatening by the minute, and, oh yeah, the people who continue to try to murder Sam. How do you solve a mystery wrapped in a head bandage inside an empty skull? Nothing a little Norwegian fish porn and a lot of cleavage can't fix. Hopefully.

Samantha needs every ounce of her courage to win her husband back before their enemies catch up to finish them both off. She thought their love was written in the stars, but it might just be scribbled on an Etch-A-Sketch.

My three favorite desserts?

Hmmm. One of my favorite subjects, but narrowing down to three is hard. Let's see.

Ice cream has to top the list. Pretty much any flavor, from old-fashioned vanilla to bunny tracks, I'll eat just about anything. Soft serve, hard scoop, bring it on!

Chocolate cake has to come next. Heck, anything chocolate would suffice. Candy, fudge, cake, even pudding. I'm in love with chocolate and truly believe it makes the day so much better. I'd do a lot of things for chocolate. Just saying.

• Finally, I'll go with fresh fruit, although it's more of a snack for me than a dessert. Blueberries are my favorite, but I'll take strawberries, watermelon, cantaloupe, blackberries, peaches, and apricots. Luckily, with fewer calories and more health benefits, I can grab fruit from the fridge any time without guilt.

Here's the blurb for Tiger's Lily:

When a wounded man shows up, Lily agrees to nurse him back to health, not realizing she will fall for his scowling brother. She vows to teach him to smile even as revenge-seeking criminals threaten their lives.

Lily's peaceful life in a small town vanishes when two men arrive, one bearing a bullet wound. She's nominated for private nursing care in her home and grudgingly accepts despite her uncertainty. However, she soon finds herself drawn to the scowling Cale.

Cale, aka Tiger, isn't thrilled either, but agrees to the arrangement for his wounded brother's sake. He learned a hard lesson from his deceitful barracuda ex-wife and has vowed never again. With a handful of revenge-seeking criminals hot on their heels, though, Cale fights his developing feelings for the tender-natured Lily.

Can the brothers survive the upcoming clash while protecting Lily? When they leave, will Lily's fears come true? Will she never see the man she loves again?

Three of my favorite vacation destinations:

Gold Coast, Queensland Australia. A winter holiday here is wonderful. The temperatures are warm around 23-25 degrees C (about 74 F) and with the blue skies, miles of long white sandy beaches, and mountain ranges, it's hard to beat. There are so many things to do, fabulous restaurants, first-class shopping and theme parks all within 20 minutes of each other. The people in this city are very friendly and relaxed.

Paris, France, in the fall. The atmosphere in Paris has to be experienced. It is electric. I love all things historical from the Louvre to the Palace d' Versailles, and everything in between. Paris is a place I would love to visit again. It is a city of dreams, where stories are born and artists gain inspiration. The best thing about Paris is it is easy to take a train to London and the chance to visit more historical buildings.

New York, USA, is my fantasy destination. I would love to visit this city. To watch a Yankees game and visit Central Park and all the other fantastic tourist things would be fantastic. I would visit the museums, art galleries, Times Square. There are so many things to see and do and so many interesting people to meet. New York draws me like a bee to honey. I'll get there one day. Soon I hope.

Here's the blurb for Her Norman Conquest:

At the mercy of William the Conqueror, Lady Ann faces an uncertain future as Norman knights fight for her hand.

Left alone after the death of all the male members of her household at the Battle of Hastings, Lady Ann finds herself at the mercy of William the Conqueror. The King intends to marry his knights to Saxon gentry. Ann becomes a useful if not uncooperative ally by using her ability to speak French to liaise with the terrified Saxon women and their potential husbands. She falls in love with a devastatingly handsome Norman blacksmith only to discover King William has plans for her to marry one of his knights.
