Must-see book trailers: 'Crow's Rest' and 'The Lady of the Garter'

Friends,

Our blizzard was a bust, but the kiddos did get a day off from school due to the slick roads in my rural county, so they were thrilled. The temps are dropping, and all I can think of is my annual vacation with the hubby in Mexico ... coming soon! And while I always take a ton of books with me to read on the beach, I can't wait that long to read The Second Lie by Anna Richland. She blew me away with First to Burn, so you know I'm not saving this one. Commence reading in three … two … one …

The trailer for Crow's Rest by Angelica R. Jackson is creepy ... in a good way. The soundtrack with the lone whistler had me wanting to look over my shoulder, and the muted, dark imagery hammer home the vibe. The script is well done — just giving me enough information to get me intrigued and then hooked and then taken aback by the little twist of humor at the end. I liked it!

The video for The Lady of the Garter by Marisa Dillon makes good use of live-action elements. The narrator delivers his villainous lines directly to the viewer and cements you into the time of Henry Tudor. The music is sweeping and very "blockbuster-ish" and pulls it all together quite nicely.
