Check out Goodreads' top 100 romance novels of all time

Goodreads has posted a list of the top 100 romance novels of all time, according to its members. Only adult novels were considered, and each book had to have at least a 4.0 rating to make the list. Check out the list here.

Wondering why Fifty Shades of Grey isn't on the list? It didn't meet the 4.0 rating requirement — it was sitting at 3.70 last time we checked. You won't see Twilight on the list, either, but not because of its 3.56 rating — it's considered a Young Adult romance rather than an adult romance. (Psst: Don't tell Nicholas Sparks he made another "romance" list, not once but twice. Poor guy.)

And just because we like to break things down a little more (and it's Valentine's Day), here are Goodreads' top 10 most-read romances:

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte

The Notebook (The Notebook #1) by Nicholas Sparks

Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell

Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen

A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks

Outlander (Outlander #1) by Diana Gabaldon

Beautiful Disaster (Beautiful #1) by Jamie McGuire

Bared to You (Crossfire #1) by Sylvia Day

And the top 10 most-read romances published this decade:

Beautiful Disaster (Beautiful #1) by Jamie McGuire

Bared to You (Crossfire #1) by Sylvia Day

Me Before You by Jojo Moyes

Slammed (Slammed #1) by Colleen Hoover
