Must-see trailers: 'Untrue Colors,' 'My Ex-Boyfriend's Wedding'

Friends,

This week I am indulging in new-to-me authors. I am diving into my first book by Tijan (Carter Reed), Samantha Young (On Dublin Street) and Jodi Ellen Malpas (One Night Promised). I am really hoping that I find the new author who is going to blow my mind. What was the last new author you found that rocked your socks off?

I love the trailer for Untrue Colors by Veronica Forand. The soundtrack is haunting and edgy — perfect for a book with a killer after the heroine. The images are modern, fresh and sexy (hot guys!), and it has a touch of snarky humor that moves the storyline along. You'll have a smile on your face as you grip the edge of your seat. I want to give a special shout-out of encouragement to the 15-year-old creator of the video to keep up the good work!

The video for My Ex-Boyfriend's Wedding by T. Sue VerSteeg is delightfully different. There are no live images or stock photos. This trailer uses artfully drawn cartoon images and a wonderfully narrated voice-over. It is modern, fun, lively and engaging. It has a quirky feel that made me smile.
