State of Romance: Find love among the Badgers
This weekend, I am headed to popular romance blogger Barbara Vey's sold-out Reader Appreciation Luncheon in Milwaukee. Tess Gerritsen is the keynote speaker, while Cherry Adair is hosting a Knock Your Socks Off party. Readers will also meet 50-plus authors hosting the luncheon tables. In honor of Barbara Vey, State of Romance visits Wisconsin, America's Dairyland.
Welcome to Tyler — America's favorite hometown — is a special series from Harlequin with the same name. The series includes Nancy Martin's Whirlwind, Pat Warren's Bright Hopes, Suzanne Ellison's Blazing Star, Ginger Chambers' Bachelor's Prize, Muriel Jenson's Milky Way, Marisa Carroll's Crossroads, Ginger Chambers' Courthouse Steps and Carla Neggers' Wisconsin Wedding.
Stacey Joy Netzel penned her own holiday series titled Romancing Wisconsin with Mistletoe Mischief, Mistletoe Magic, Mistletoe Match-Up, Autumn Wish, Autumn Bliss and Autumn Kiss.
How about books with Wisconsin in the title? Andrea Boeshaar offers Wisconsin Weddings, a novella collection with The Long Ride Home, Always a Bridesmaid and The Summer Girl. Pamela S. Meyers steps back in time to the Big Band Era in Love Finds You in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Kersti Niebruegge takes readers to Mistake, Wisconsin for a YA cozy mystery.
YA finds romance in Elizabeth Eulberg's Better Off Friends, Angie Stanton's Rock and a Hard Place and Scarlett MacDougal's Have a Nice Life.
The Northern Lights create the haunting atmosphere for things that go bump in the night with Tate Halloway's Tall, Dark, and Dead and Gena Showalter's The Darkest Surrender.
Romantics suspense delivers chills in Elisabeth Naughton's Stolen Seduction, Toni Anderson's Cold Pursuit, Anne Stuart's Into the Fire and Julia Harper's Hot.
For those who prefer cozy mysteries (and food), Hanna Reed offers Buzz Off from the Queen Bee series (with naturally sweet honey) and Sandra Balzo's Uncommon Grounds from the Maggy Thorsen series (serving up gourmet coffee).
Add to the list of romance books set in Wisconsin by using #StateOfRomance on Twitter. Next week we visit London in celebration of a royal anniversary.
