Exclusive cover reveal: 'A Daring Sacrifice' by Jody Hedlund

Jody gives us a glimpse of A Daring Sacrifice ...

Jody: In A Daring Sacrifice a young medieval maiden stands up for the rights of the mistreated, stealing from the rich to give to the poor. All the while, she fights against her cruel uncle who has taken over the land that's rightfully hers. She's forced to live in the woods and hide with the poor people she's grown to love. She works to feed and protect them, all the while masquerading as the Cloaked Bandit.

Even if she could, she has no intention of ever returning to the life of wealth and ease that she once knew when her father was alive. She's grown to despise the wasteful, calloused lifestyle of the rich. But when she steals from a neighboring lord, a young knight, recently returned from years of fighting, she soon realizes she stole from wrong person.

The young knight happens to be one of the three bravest, strongest and most cunning knights in all the land. When the Cloaked Bandit steals from him, he sets out to reclaim what's his and unmask the bandit. When he tracks down the thief, he's surprised to discover a woman in his grip, and not just any woman, but the red-headed neighbor girl he'd once teased when they were children.

The knight goes on a quest to discover more about this feisty, arrow-shooting woman and in the process finds himself falling into more danger and love than he bargained for. And meanwhile, against her will, the Cloaked Bandit finds herself beginning to care about the wealthy knight who represents everything she's come to despise.

Ultimately they both have to make sacrifices that may cost them everything, including their very lives.
