Exclusive cover reveal: 'Til Death Do Us Part' by Amanda Quick

HEA welcomes Jayne Ann Krentz, who's unveiling the cover of 'Til Death Do Us Part, written by her alter ego Amanda Quick. 'Til Death Do Us Part arrives in April 2016. In the meantime we have Jayne's Trust No One and Amanda's Garden of Lies to hold us over. Oh, and Siren's Call, coming in July, by Jayne's other alter ego, Jayne Castle. We're exhausted just listing all those alter egos and new releases. (To see a larger version of the cover, click on the blue arrow in the lower right corner of the image.)

Jayne: Happy summer from Seattle!

If you know me as Jayne Ann Krentz you probably also know that I write Victorian romantic suspense under the pen name Amanda Quick. I'm deep into that world right now, finishing up 'Til Death Do Us Part. It's a real thrill ride for me at this point because I'm one of those writers who never knows where a book is going until I get there. Working without a net. But that's my problem, not yours. I'm here today because this is the day the cover is revealed for the first time ever. I'm truly, madly excited about this one and I wanted to take the opportunity to do two things — give you a little taste of the story and thank you for following me into my Amanda Quick world. (Not everyone does, you see, so I really appreciate those of you who do!)

First, the story: Calista Langley operates an exclusive "introduction" agency in Victorian London. OK, she's sort of the 19th-century version of an online dating site. Unfortunately, some dangerously obsessed individual has begun sending her trinkets and gifts suitable only for those in deepest mourning. Each is engraved with her initials. In other words, she's got a stalker.

Desperate for help and fearing that the police will be of no assistance, Calista turns to Trent Hastings, a reclusive author of popular crime novels who is scarred by a mysterious incident in his past. Calista's theory is that because Trent writes stories about a fictional detective he ought to have some notion of how to go about a real investigation. Trent isn't so sure it works that way but he is falling hard for Calista and it's obvious she is going to pursue things on her own. He hasn't got much choice. He gave up on love a long time ago but Calista is the one woman who might be able to rescue him from the shadows.

The problem, of course, is what do they do once they have discovered the identity of the stalker?

I hope you have a wonderful time with 'Til Death Do Us Part. And thank you, again, for joining me in my Amanda Quick world.

Sincerely,

Amanda/Jayne
