Carrie Underwood shows love of Stephen King in video
Carrie Underwood takes a noirish turn in the music video for Two Black Cadillacs. While the song has a plot reminiscent of the 1955 classic French film Diabolique, the video comes across more like Stephen King's Christine.
The latest single from Underwood's million-selling Blown Away album is currently at No. 11 on Paste BN's Country airplay chart. It has sold 240,000 downloads, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Here's the video for the single:
Underwood posted a behind-the-scenes clip to her VEVO page Monday morning.
"I really don't know why I've always loved horror movies," Underwood says in that video, "but I know why I've always loved Stephen King. My mom was such a huge fan. I guarantee you she's read everything he's ever written. I would borrow her books and read her books. This is great reading material for, like, you know, a grade-schooler, right?"
Underwood, who's slated to perform at the Feb. 10 Grammy Awards ceremony, has a second single of sorts out now: She's the featured duet partner on the new Aerosmith single, Can't Stop Lovin' You. Listen to both songs below.
