Casey James covers the Black Keys

Casey James visited the syndicated Big D & Bubba radio show Monday, performing not only his single Crying on a Suitcase but a tune by Grammy kings the Black Keys, as well.

Reflecting on the days that he would play cover songs in Texas clubs, James said he liked to stay away from obvious choices. "I always did songs that people never really knew, you know what I mean?" said the former American Idol finalist. "I would do musicians that I really loved."

One of those tunes, apparently, is the Black Keys' I Got Mine.

The Black Keys won three awards at Sunday's Grammy ceremony, with guitarist Dan Auerbach also receiving a producer of the year award.

James' Crying on a Suitcase is currently at No. 15 on Paste BN's Country airplay chart.
