Celebrity superlatives: Adele, with the most-awaited tour of all time

Paste BN’s Jaleesa Jones digs through the latest celebrity news for highlights ... and lowlights. Think high school yearbook superlatives — if Ed Sheeran and Adele were classmates.

Most-anticipated tour: Adele

Adele is out to make us feel her love once again. On Dec. 14, the British singer announced she'll embark on a North American tour in support of her multi-platinum album, 25. The intra-continental tour kicks off on July 5, 2016 in St. Paul, Minn., and wraps up on Nov. 15, 2016 in Mexico City. It will be Adele's first tour in five years.

Most epic Instagram post: Eva Longoria

Our favorite "desperate housewife" is getting hitched! That's right: On Dec. 13, former Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria took to social media to announce her engagement to Jose Antonio Baston, president of television and content at Grupo Televisa, a major Latin American media company. The couple were in Dubai to attend the Global Gift Gala at the 2015 Dubai International Film Festival when Baston apparently popped the question.

Longoria shared a sweet Instagram photo of the pair kissing in the Dubai desert, a gemstone ring clearly visible on her left hand. "Ummmm so this happened....#Engaged #Dubai #Happiness," Longoria wrote.

Sweetest send-off: Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran is saying goodbye — but just for a little while. Following his 16-month-long X World Tour, which wrapped Dec. 12, Ed Sheeran announced that he was taking a hiatus from technology. In a thoughtful Instagram post, the British singer said he would not be using his cell phone, email or any form of social media, and expressed his desire to travel and be more present in the moment. “I’ve had such an amazing ride over the last five years but I find myself seeing the world through a screen and not my eyes,” he wrote. “So, I’m taking this opportunity of me not having to be anywhere or do anything to travel the world and see everything I missed.”

Funniest SNL reprisal: Will Ferrell

He's baaaaaaack!

For Saturday Night Live's Dec. 12 episode, Will Ferrell reprised his iconic role as George W. Bush. “I’m entering the race for President of the United States of America,” he joked in the cold open. The Get Hard actor then proceeded to break down why he believes he deserves another term — “The field of Republicans out there is so messed up, it makes you miss me” — and cracked on Republican presidential hopefuls.

Shadiest interview: Tim Gunn

Tim Gunn is not here for the Kardashians — and his Dec. 12 interview with the New York Daily News proves it. While at a Land's End pop-up shop, the fashion consultant blasted the Kardashian's vulgar style. "I don’t care what you wear as long as you don’t dress like a Kardashian," he said. "It’s vulgar, period. But that’s what they are. I believe that their place in history will be because of this phenomenon that really is about nothing." Gunn also said that Kanye's clothes are "dumb" and that Caitlyn is "a dizzy broad." So much for throwing shade. Gunn threw the entire tree.
