'Big Mouth' from Nick Kroll is headed to Netflix
Netflix is getting another pair of edgy best friends.
The streaming network announced it's order of Big Mouth this morning, an animated series from real-life best friends Nick Kroll and Andrew Goldberg.
The half-hour comedy will chronicle the pubescent misadventures of Andrew (voiced by comedian John Mulaney) and Nick, who have known each other since the first grade and call the work 30 years in the making. A heavy-weight lineup of actors and comedians rounds out the cast, including Maya Rudolph (Maya & Marty, Bridesmaids), Jason Mantzoukas (The League, Lady Dynamite), Jordan Peele (Key and Peele), Fred Armisen (Portlandia), Jenny Slate (Girls) and Jessi Klein (Inside Amy Schumer).
Best known for his Comedy Central series, Kroll Show, Kroll also starred as Ruxin in the FX series, The League. He also has a surprising dramatic performance in the upcoming movie Loving, according to Paste BN'S Bryan Alexander, as the ACLU lawyer who took on the Loving case.
Goldberg is a co-executive producer of FOX's Family Guy.
The 10-episode series will premiere in 2017.
