'Today' host Savannah Guthrie gives birth to son Charles Max Feldman

Santa isn't the only one who should be credited for making special deliveries in December.

Today host Savannah Guthrie and her husband, Michael Feldman, welcomed their son Thursday, the morning show reports.

Guthrie revealed her pregnancy in June and did not cover the Olympics in Rio due to concerns about the Zika virus.

Charles Max Feldman, who will be known as "Charley," entered the world weighing 9 lbs. 8 oz. and measuring 21.5 inches.

Guthrie's co-host, Matt Lauer, told viewers Friday that the newborn's first name is in honor of Guthrie's father, and his middle name pays respects to Feldman's grandfather. Lauer also revealed, "Mama and Dad are doing great."

Early Friday morning Guthrie tweeted her elation at the arrival of her second child, who makes Vale, 2, a big sister.

"We are so grateful," she wrote. "Blessings overflow. Along with tears of joy."
