'Catastrophe' star Rob Delaney opens up 14 months after son's death: I'm 'sad and angry'
Rob Delaney doesn't want to sugarcoat how he's doing, 14 months after his 2-year-old son died from a brain tumor.
“I’ve been sad and angry," the "Catastrophe" star told the Evening Standard.
“The reason I’m being honest with you and not trying to impress you, and make you think I’m cool or that I’m a tough guy, or maybe working through loss in an inspiring way, is that I have found that if a bereaved parent or bereaved sibling reads this," he said.

Back in September, the actor, 42, wrote an essay shared on Medium about hearing the heartbreaking news of his son's terminal diagnosis. Now, he's continuing to be open about his struggles with loss. He tweeted out the recent interview from his personal account.
"Big reason I posted that is because even though I’m pulling my weight professionally, doing a good job at work etc, I still worry (people) could think I’m not 'up to the task' or my grief could be inconvenient for them & then I’d wind up unable to provide for my family," he wrote on Twitter. "Grief is brutal and the knock-on financial costs of losing a child can be devastating," he wrote, and shared the names of organizations that could help.
He concluded his Twitter thread: "Finally, don’t be afraid of grieving people. Like it or not, we know something you will one day learn. We’re good for you!"
