Cloth pouch becomes comfy sanctuary for orphaned joey
After a few minutes of exercise on the ground, a baby kangaroo at an Australian wildlife sanctuary is anxious to return to the comfort of her cozy pouch.

A baby kangaroo at a wildlife sanctuary in central Australia can't wait to get back to the coziness of her pouch.
The joey, named Rooby, is an orphan. Instead of having a mother's marsupium to keep her safe, staff at the Kangaroo Sanctuary Alice Springs created a makeshift pouch out of cloth.
"Baby kangaroos feel safe, happy, and loved when they are in their pouches," the sanctuary posted on its Facebook page.
Like a human toddler, Rooby adorably clings to the leg of a volunteer to show she wants 'up.'
Rooby spends a few minutes every day on the ground to build strength in her tail and legs but lets her caretakers know when she's ready to pack it in.
Watch Rooby's reaction in the video above when she finally gets what she wants!
