A one-year-old Australian shepherd named Nanuq took an epic trek across 150 miles of frozen Bering Sea ice before being flown back to his home in Alaska.

After wandering while hunting, he showed up a month later in the Bering Sea coastal community of Wales, on Alaska's western coast, over a hundred miles away.

Watch the moment Nanuq the dog is finally reunited with his family.

The dog's owner Mandy Iworrigan found Nanuq after people in Wales posted photos of an unfamiliar dog wandering the area. She suspects he ended up in Wales because ice may have shifted while he was hunting.

Aside from a swollen leg with bite marks, Nanuq is in good health.
