Watch Good Samaritan rescue sick kitten abandoned on a clifftop

The prospects were bleak for a sick and abandoned kitten until a kindhearted hiker showed up to save the day.
The dark tortoiseshell cat, which was around 10 weeks old, was sheltering under a bramble bush on the barren cliffs above Porthcurno Beach in southwest England when she was found by cat-loving hiker Billy Kelland, an engineer in Britain’s Royal Navy.
The kitten was starving and struggling to walk. She also showed symptoms of potentially fatal cat flu.
Instinctively, the tiny cat snuggled up to Kelland, and the Good Samaritan took pity on her, wrapping the kitten in his woolly hat and taking her home in his rucksack.
He nicknamed the kitten Bramble. And, after feeding her, he took her to a nearby Cats Protection Cat Centre for veterinary treatment.
Bramble made a remarkable recovery. Then, once healthy, she was adopted by Billy’s mom Katie Spencer.
“We lost our wonderful cat Freddie last year and my husband and I were heartbroken when he passed,” said Spencer. “I always knew I’d want another cat, but I didn’t think I was ready yet. Then along came Bramble - how could we possibly say no, especially when she chose Billy?”
