Watch hero hiker save newborn calf from a rushing stream
A hiker became an instant hero in Xiangyang, Hubei, China, when he waded into a fast-moving stream to save a stranded calf.
The young man spotted the helpless newborn in the middle of the rapids as he walked along the wooded banks. Without hesitating, he gingerly crossed the slippery rocks to reach the frightened animal and brought it to safety.

Once onshore, the calf was clearly appreciative as it latched onto the man, following him back along the trail until it was finally reunited with its mom.
