2. Little Humans by Brandon Stanton (Farrar, Straus & Giroux, non-fiction, ages 4-8, on sale Oct. 7)
What it's about: Cool photos of pint-size New Yorkers, from the popular Humans of New York blog.
The buzz: Stanton's photo book Humans of New York was one of the big hits of last fall.
3. A Vision of Fire by Gillian Anderson and Jeff Rovin (Simon 451, fiction, on sale Oct. 7)
What it's about: Child psychologist Caitlin O'Hara is called upon as teenagers around the world start having strange, violent outbursts.
The buzz: The former X-Files star returns to her sci-fi roots in this thriller about a sinister global threat.
4. Deep Down Dark by Hector Tobar (Farrar, Straus & Giroux, non-fiction, on sale Oct. 7)
What it's about: The true story of the 33 men trapped for weeks in the 2010 Chilean mine disaster.
The buzz: "An electrifying, empathetic work of journalism," says Kirkus Reviews.
5. Confessions: The Paris Mysteries by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro (Little, Brown, fiction, on sale Oct. 6)
What it's about: In Paris, teen detective Tandy Angel confronts questions about her boyfriend and her dead sister.
The buzz: The last Confessions book, The Private School Murders, hit No. 13 on Paste BN's Best-Selling Books list.
