What it’s about: The former reality TV star (The Hills) offers tips on throwing parties, from baby showers to holiday soirees.
The buzz:Celebrate follows Conrad’s best-selling books Style and Beauty.
2. Journey to Munich by Jacqueline Winspear (Harper, fiction, on sale March 29)
What it’s about: In January 1938, Maisie Dobbs is enlisted by Britain’s Secret Service for a dangerous mission in Nazi Germany; 12th in series.
The buzz: The last Maisie Dobbs novel, A Dangerous Place, landed at No. 13 on Paste BN’s Best-Selling Books list last year.
3. Lust & Wonder by Augusten Burroughs (St. Martin’s Press, non-fiction, on sale March 29)
What it’s about: The author of Running With Scissors and Dry returns with a new memoir about looking for love in New York City.
The buzz: “A satisfying success story from a reliably outspoken raconteur,” says Kirkus Reviews.
4. Kings of Queens: Life Beyond Baseball with the ’86 Mets by Erik Sherman (Berkley, non-fiction, on sale now)
What it’s about: Sherman catches up with colorful players from the championship 1986 team, including Doc Gooden, Darryl Strawberry, Lenny Dykstra, and Mookie Wilson, as well as Gary Carter’s widow, Sandy.
The buzz: Arrives as the team celebrates the 30th anniversary of the '86 World Series win – along with hopes of capturing the championship that eluded them last fall.
5. Cold Barrel Zero by Matthew Quirk (Mulholland, fiction, on sale March 29)
What it’s about: A former combat surgeon is pulled back in by his old classified special ops unit, which is trying to clear itself of charges it committed a massacre.
The buzz: “Quirk goes flat-out explosive in this superior military adventure novel,” says Publishers Weekly in a starred review.
