What it’s about: Handler (aka Lemony Snicket) writes a novel about a teenage boy obsessed with sex.

The buzz: “Raw, authentic,” says Kirkus Reviews.

3. The Right Time by Danielle Steel (Delacorte, fiction, on sale Aug. 29)

What it’s about: A young woman leads a secret life as a mystery writer, using a male pseudonym.

The buzz: Steel has had 80 Paste BN best sellers.

4. No Is a Four-Letter Word: How I Failed Spelling but Succeeded in Life by Chris Jericho (Da Capo, non-fiction, on sale Aug. 29)

What it’s about: The wrestler/musician shares principles that have helped him find success.

The buzz: Spelling may not be Jericho’s strong suit, but this is his fourth book.

5. The Burning Girl by Claire Messud (Norton, fiction, on sale Aug. 29)

What it’s about: Two close female friends grow apart as adolescence brings changes to their lives.

The buzz: “Haunting and emotionally gripping,” says Publishers Weekly.
