The 'stache is back for Alex Trebek on 'Jeopardy!'

It was big news when Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek shaved off his iconic mustache in 2001 after nearly 30 years of sporting it on TV.

And it's big news now that he's grown it back.

On Monday,  he'll be wearing the mustache once again when Jeopardy! returns for its 30th season in syndication, he reveals to People.
“In 2001, I shaved my mustache on a whim. This year I had a two-and-a-half-month period where we were not taping a show, so I grew it back on another whim. I like to keep my life simple.”
