George Clooney's ex, Elisabetta Canalis, beats him to the altar

While we're counting down the days to George Clooney's wedding, his ex-girlfriend, Elisabetta Canalis, had one of her own.

Canalis married orthopedic surgeon Brian Perri at Sassari Cathedral in Sardinia, Italy, on Sunday.

Canalis and Clooney dated for two years before splitting in June 2011.

She tweeted about the happy news, saying thanks for "making the dream possible."
