NPH: Award show host for life?

Sure, it’s been a big week for Neil Patrick Harris with his memoir just out in stores and the announcement that he’ll host the Oscars on February 22.

We’d just like to make it even more epic.

How about crowning NPH “Host for Life” of all awards shows forthwith? After all, the only major award show gig he doesn't yet have under his belt is the Grammys. Once he oversees that show (and we wouldn't bet against it),  he'll have achieved the EGOT of hosting.

Not that we approve of dictators, but we’re just saying. Mastering those ceremonies seems like it’s actually fun for the effortlessly charming Tony winner, co-star of Gone Girl and author of Choose Your Own Autobiography.

At least he makes the sometimes tedious process of doling out awards big fun for us viewers.

Here are 5 reasons why he should be crowned Host for Life:

1.  He's effortlessly funny

2. He's been a TV star since childhood

3. He's a consummate song and dance man

4.   He has infinite grace under pressure

5. He has excessive hosting disorder, and this could serve as aversion therapy

Plus, he doesn't mind working with livestock.
