Sarah Jessica Parker's shoe shoot ticks off neighbors
Here's what happened:
Sarah Jessica Parker lined up a bunch of her SJP Collection shoes for a photo shoot.
She put them on display - on the stoop of the West Village apartment, made famous as Carrie Bradshaw's place in Sex and the City.
As she tended to the footwear, she wrote: "It was take your @sjpcolleciton shoes to work day. #longdayforCarrie #whewwwwthosesteps #runninginheels #taxi!"
She crossed the line that has been set up to keep tourists off the stoop.
And then she showed them off, like little ducklings following their mama down the street.
Or, rather, she wrote: "I'm going to follow them."
And then Page Six talked to Gerald Banu, president of the Perry Street Association, who said that neighbors aren't happy about what what he says was an unauthorized shoe shoot.
“I heard about the shoot. They didn’t get the permission from the owner. The situation with SATC visitors is still very intense. People who live here get upset that the sidewalks are constantly jammed.”
SJP hasn't responded to the shoe brouhaha.
Banu says he just hopes that for any Sex and the City 3 movie, Carrie Bradshaw lives somewhere else.
