Everybody apparently has watched the 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' trailer

A lot of people have watched the Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer. Like a bunch. A horde even.

It's not surprising since the first Avengers film is one of the biggest movies of all time and this year is currently being ruled by a Marvel flick with a talking raccoon and a tree. Iron Man and his superfriends are gonna do pretty well in that sort of atmosphere.

But yowza — in 24 hours since its debut Tuesday night online the Age of Ultron trailer racked up more than 34 million views, according to Marvel. That is a TON of people wanting to see over and over again Hulkbuster vs. Hulk, random ballerinas and a killer robot with a penchant for quoting Pinocchio. It's also a new record, according to the Disney-owned studio — Guardians of the Galaxy's first trailer managed just under 23 million views in one day, and both Iron Man 3 and Captain America: The Winter Soldier were just over it.

Quite the success both from a marketing standpoint and also a PR one. Originally the trailer was supposed to play Tuesday night with a new episode of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. but an online leak led Marvel to not only blaming the nefarious organization Hydra but also posting the footage early. (Never fear, S.H.I.E.L.D. faithful: You'll be getting some new stuff next week.)

Special shoutout to the industrious folks who've set Age of Ultron to Celine Dion. Well played.

On that note, we're going to start off your weekend with shirtless Thor. Obviously.
