'Minions' trailer: 'Despicable Me' henchman are too cute for history

The adorable, yellow, nonsense-talking minions from Despicable Me are getting their own movie, and the first trailer has hit the Internet. And it's pretty much the lovable cute-fest you imagined it to be.

The spin-off shows us what the minions were up to before they met the despicable Gru. Turns out they were looking for other despicable people throughout history (a T-Rex, Napoleon, Dracula). It didn't always work out so well, mostly because the minions are just too hilariously incompetent. Although, it's kind of a high death toll for a three-minute trailer for a kids' movie, but the minions are so cute we'll forgive them.

We also love this soundtrack so far. Anything that has adorable cartoon sidekicks and also Jimi Hendrix is pretty okay in our book.
