Watch: Wolfy Depp, witchy Streep in songtastic 'Into the Woods' trailer

Is that old genie from Aladdin around? Because everybody's got a wish in the new Disney version of the Stephen Sondheim musical Into the Woods, a tune-filled mashup of fairy tales such as Rapunzel, Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk and Little Red Riding Hood.

And boy, do they get all out in song in this new trailer.

What wishes does it grant Disney-philes and fairy-tale freaks? Well, it focuses on the central story, that of a childless couple of a baker (James Corden) and his wife (Emily Blunt) who are cursed by a Witch (Meryl Streep with some seriously jacked-up teeth) and will do anything to have a family — which might mean rounding up the cow of young Jack (Daniel Huttlestone), the red cape of Ms. Riding Hood (Lilla Crawford), some impressive locks from the hair of Rapunzel (Mackenzie Mauzy) and the gold slipper of Cinderella (an, ahem, pitch-perfect Anna Kendrick).

Other things of note:

Johnny Depp is in fine oddball form as the Wolf.

Corden is gonna be a thing after this comes out. Go watch Gavin & Stacey so you can say you knew him when.

Chris Pine is in need of a shave as Cinderella's Prince. (It seems he's kind of a Cheater McGee, though, so it makes sense.)

Christine Baranski's spot-on as Cinderella's stepmother.

Streep pretty much owns this trailer as a blue-haired hag, and props to the crooning — a step up from all that Mamma Mia business.

And it's all just around the corner, too — director Rob Marshall's big-screen songfest is out Christmas Day.
