'Age' miracle! Blake Lively's daughter is 81-year-old Ellen Burstyn
This would make for tough-to-explain Christmas cards.
Blake Lively, 27, is the mother to 81-year-old actress Ellen Burstyn in the new film Age of Adaline.
We ran the first look for the film out in April 2015. The first trailer for Adaline dropped online, showing the miracle scenario where Lively's character does not age. As a result, her still-mortal daughter grows up and older than her.
The trailer shows the scene in present day, where the daughter is played by the seemingly immortal, but still 81-year-old, Burstyn.
Director Lee Toland Kreiger says even he was daunted by shooting the mother-daughter scenes between Lively and Burstyn.
"It was one of the elements of the film I was most nervous about. I didn't know how it would come off. It really terrified me. But Blake is so naturally maternal. And Ellen, as a result, kind of fell into the old habits you'd have with your parents, being annoyed with their advice and what have you. Instantly you believe them as mother and daughter. I know it sounds a bit crazy. But it's one of the elements of the film I am most excited about."
Immortal Lively falls for a hot stud (Michael Huisman) and the trailer shows him introducing his new gal to his dad (Harrison Ford). It seems Ford's character kind of dated Adaline when he was young. So totally awkward. Paging Dr. Phil. That could ruin more than just a weekend.
In the trailer, we also get a view of what Gossip Girl Lively, pregnant with Ryan Reynolds' child in real life, will look like as a mother.
