'Today' hosts Geist, Morales: 'You're stuck with us'

The Today Show crew took a few minutes in Thursday's show to poke holes in the rumors that Natalie Morales and Willie Geist were history. The best bits:

Natalie Morales broke the news: "I’m here! Sorry, guys, you’re stuck with me!"

Geist added, “Well, Natalie and I walked into work yesterday and looked at each other and said, ‘What are you doing here?’ But the good news is we are here. We’re here, and we’re here for a long time."

"We’re still waking up at 4 am!" Morales chirped.

Turning serious, Geist added, "I know Natalie feels the same way, when this totally erroneous, out-of-the-sky report came out, the support and the concern blew me away on Twitter and Facebook and phone calls and e-mails. It just reaffirmed for me how special this show is and how great our viewers are. So, I’m grateful for all that."

A teary Morales added, "Each and every e-mail and tweet really touched my heart. I know we’ve all dealt with a lot of stuff in the last couple of weeks." Grabbing the hands of of Al Roker and Tamron Hall, she continued, "My heart is warm with all the love we have for everybody here. This show is stronger because of the people we work with every day."
