Reese Witherspoon hopes to shoot 'Big Little Lies' next year

Yes, we know that Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman are starring in Liane Moriarty's delicious mystery/thriller/comedy Big Little Lies.

So we checked in with Witherspoon, who has Wild out on Friday, to see what was up with the project. It's currently being adapted by the same person who brought us The Practice and Ally McBeal.
"David E Kelley is writing it. He’s amazing. We’re so excited. Nicole Kidman and I are excited about doing it, hopefully next year," she told us.
Witherspoon is adapting the book through her Pacific Standard production company. And she's on the lookout for other strong ladies.
"We are very busy reading, reading, reading and trying to identify projects. We’re looking to change what we see in film – strong female leads that are dynamic and interesting. I grew up seeing Debra Winger and Holly Hunter. I want my daughter to see that. I read a lot at night. I read on airplanes. I’d rather be reading than scrolling," she says.
