Meet the cast of the new James Bond film
Ladies and gentlemen, start your (Aston Martin) engines.
The cast for the new Bond film, Spectre, was announced Thursday, and it's chock full of amazing actors. In addition to Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw and some other faces from the recent Bond films, a whole new slate of actors will be joining the movie. In case you're not too familiar with them, please enjoy our handy guide to the new faces.
Andrew Scott
You might recognize this Irish actor from his creepy/awesome stint on Sherlock as Moriarty, the arch-nemesis of Benedict Cumberbatch's detective. Scott was rumored to be part of the cast for a while, but many thought he might be bringing some of that Sherlock villainy to the big screen. Turns out he will actually be playing Denbigh, a new addition to Whitehall.
Monica Bellucci
The Italian actress had her breakout in The Matrix Reloaded and Matrix Revolutions, and also co-starred in The Sorcerer's Apprentice with Nicolas Cage. She'll be joining the ranks of the Bond girls in Spectre along with...
Lea Seydoux
Seydoux definitely has the whole international spy thriller thing down after appearing in Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol in 2011, but you probably recognize her from last year's critically acclaimed French film Blue is the Warmest Color, which won the top prize at the Cannes Film Festival.
Dave Bautista
The wrestler-turned-actor had a memorable turn in this summer's Guardians of the Galaxy as the lethal (and very literal) Drax the Destroyer. In Spectre he'll be playing a character named Mr. Hinx, who we can only assume will be a hulking henchman of some sort.
Christoph Waltz
The Oscar-winning actor (who we've already decided is the perfect Bond villain) has been announced as the mysterious character Oberhauser. Considering how good he is at being bad (Inglourious Basterds, etc), we're guessing Oberhauser doesn't have the best of intentions.
