Neil Patrick Harris shares questionable last-minute gift idea in Oscars promo

It may be a bit too late, but Neil Patrick Harris has an idea if you're in need of a belated holiday gift.

In a clip posted Christmas Day, the How I Met Your Mother actor and 2015 Academy Awards host suggests that instead of traditional presents you give your family "the gift of simply telling them to watch me host the Oscars."

Hey, it has to be at least on par with the three-pack of white tube socks you gave your brother.
