Comedian Paul F. Tompkins live-tweets Midnight Mass

Holiday traditions have to start somewhere, and our newest fave would have to be Paul F. Tompkins' live-tweeting of Pope Francis celebrating Midnight Mass at the Vatican.

This is the second year Tompkins has given blow-by-blow coverage of the televised service, giving a pop-culture spin to the traditional mass. He may not be reverent at all times, but you can't help but feel there is a little love behind his tweeting.

Here’s hoping this is the beginning of another yearly Christmas tradition, like binge watching A Christmas Story and family arguments breaking out after too much eggnog. We can't wait  for #PFTMM15!
