Injured Gayle King makes New Year's Eve trip to Maui hospital (with Oprah)

CBS This Morning anchor Gayle King managed to ring in 2015 with a smile and a snazzy surprise birthday organized by her BFF Oprah Winfrey, but not before she spent much of Dec. 31, 2014, in a Maui hospital.

Turns out she had a "very bad sprained ankle" that she got while falling on her way to the gym.

But she was still able to ring in 2015 with her gang. (Can you spot Oprah and Stedman in the shot?)

And then Arianna Huffington showed up!

It's been a busy few days for Gayle. Before her mishap, she happily blew out the candles on her 60th birthday cake.

And she shared a shot of her family helping her celebrate - thanks to Oprah.
