'Teen Mom' couple Catelynn and Tyler welcome baby girl

It's a happy ending -- or rather, beginning -- for Teen Mom couple Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra.

The two are proud new parents of a daughter, Nova Reign, who arrived on Jan. 1.

Baby Nova weighed in at 6 pounds, 12 ounces and measured 19.5 inches.

Dad Tyler posted a photo on Instagram of Catelynn and their baby: "Momma Bear holding our little angel! Can't tell you the feeling of witnessing this. Look at my beautiful bride to be! That woman is beyond strong, caring, and selfless. Couldn't have asked for a better little family #Blessed #NewYearBaby #MyGirls #AreMyWorld."

This is a triumphant moment for the reality stars, who decided in 2009 to give their daughter, Carly, up for adoption in 2009. They were in high school and felt it was the best decision for the baby. Their drama was chronicled on MTV's 16 and Pregnant.

Catelynn told In Touch in September that she wants to connect with Carly, for baby Nova's sake:
My hope is that they’ll have a great relationship one day. They’re sisters.
