So about the time Chris Rock almost starred in 'Selma'

We learned many things at last night's boozy-filled National Board of Review gala.

We learned that Tommy Lee Jones once did the unthinkable and asked a woman, in this case Julianne Moore, if she was pregnant. She was not.

We learned that presenter Bruce Willis appeared a bit, ahem, flummoxed.

Most of all, we learned that Chris Rock was almost in the awards favorite Selma, directed by Ava DuVernay.
I would have done Selma but she didn't pick me. I came in and auditioned. I was black and sweaty. I came in looking like I had marched. Nothing.
