Here's why Lena Dunham is taking a Twitter break

It's safe to say that Lena Dunham is having a WAY better night than us right now.

Not only is her show Girls returning to HBO for a fourth season tonight, it's also nominated for best comedy at the Golden Globes. Not to mention, Dunham is up for best comedy actress and looks totally amazing in her Zac Posen-designed gown.

But don't expect to see her tweeting about any of it. As she told Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet, she deleted the Twitter app from her phone because of all the negativity.
It's the dark side of the Internet. ... There's a lot of people that I love on Twitter, but unfortunately, you can't read those without deranged Neocons telling you you should be buried under a pile of rocks.
