Watch: Macklemore raps on 'Sesame Street'

Now that he's going to be a father, Macklemore is making music for kids.

Well, just the one song. His first hit, Thrift Shop, got the Sesame Street treatment this week:

Oscar the Grouch joined Macklemore to sing about the joy of acquiring items from the trash (as opposed to the thrift shop). We thought this was a confusing message for kids, until we remembered that poor Oscar has always lived in a trash can. So, in a way, it's a triumphant tune for him.
