When Shonda Rhimes isn't making TV, what is she watching?
Somehow, top television writer and producer Shonda Rhimes finds time to watch TV.
The woman behind ABC's Grey's Anatomy, Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder, which return Thursday, shares some of the shows she enjoys.
They range from Girls to a very Bad man.
"I’m still very sad that Breaking Bad is gone and I’m considering re-watching the whole series now that I know what happens,” she says.
Empire is intriguing.
"I thought it was in the best way, fabulous, in a sort of over-the-top, amazing, crazy" way, Rhimes says. "I'm very curious to see what's going to happen."
Episodes' show-within-a-show may offer comic hints on how not to run a TV series.
She's looking forward to a new Game of Thrones season.
"I’m obsessed with Game of Thrones, like every single other person on the planet, waiting patiently for it to come back,” she says.
Rhimes likes The Mindy Project so much that she guest-starred in an episode.
Two words for Black-ish: family fun.
Black-ish is “very funny” and offers an added benefit, Rhimes says. “It’s the only show I can watch with my kid, so there you go.”
