How come Weird Al has never parodied Prince?

Weird Al Yankovic is the king of the parody song and Prince is the king of all things purple and sexy, so why have we never heard When Gloves Cry or Little Bread Corvette?

Because Prince won't stand for it, Weird Al, who won the Grammy for best comedy album, tells Paste BN.
He's like the one guy that has always said no to parodies. I'm a big fan of Prince. If he wants to go bowling or play Parcheesi with me, I'm certainly up for that.
