Who was missing from the 'SNL' 40th Anniversary?
Although SNL's 40th Anniversary Special brought back back a whole host of the show's former cast members, one face was notably absent. Tracy Morgan, who has been recovering from a severe car crash, couldn't make it back to studio 8H. But Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin -- Morgan's former co-stars from the SNL-inspired 30 Rock -- gave the comedian a fitting tribute.
"I wish my friend Tracy Morgan was here tonight. And I know he was hoping that he would be well enough to be here too," Fey said. Baldwin continued, "Tracy would’ve been the first to accurately express how thrilled we all are to be a part of television history," before busting out his best impression of Morgan.
"And if he were here tonight, I’m sure Tracy would remind us that he would like to get us all pregnant," Fey said.
Before showing a clip of Morgan doing one of his most famous characters, Brian Fellow, Baldwin said, “See you at the 41st, Tracy.” Fey added, “We love you.”
